Growing Information

Green Giant Arborvitae thrive in full sun to partial shade and require moderate watering, especially during the establishment phase. Mature trees can reach heights of 50 to 60 feet. These evergreens are best planted in the ground rather than containers and are suitable for USDA zones 3 through 8. For a dense privacy hedge, space plants 5 to 6 feet apart; for individual tree growth, space 10 to 15 feet apart. Consistent watering during the first growing season helps develop strong roots.
