Growing Information

This deciduous fruit tree thrives in USDA zones 7–10 and prefers full sun exposure for optimal fruit production. It grows to a mature height of 10–20 feet with a moderate growth rate. Plant in well-draining soil and maintain moderate watering to keep the soil evenly moist. The tree requires approximately 200 chill hours and can be grown in containers with regular pruning. Harvest the fruit in fall when it is firm and fully colored to enjoy its sweet, crisp texture.
