Growing Information

Plant the rhizomes just below the soil surface with the bud facing upward in a well-drained, fertile soil bed. Space the bulbs 6 inches apart with rows 6 to 12 inches apart. Apply a thick mulch layer of hardwood leaves or shredded bark, raking it back 1 to 2 inches before spring emergence.
