Growing Information

Sweet potatoes (Ipomoea batatas) thrive in full sun, requiring 6-8 hours of sunlight daily. Maintain moderate watering to keep the soil consistently moist without waterlogging. Plant slips in well-drained, sandy loam soil with a pH between 5.8 and 6.2. Suitable for USDA hardiness zones 7 through 11, these vining plants can spread up to 10 feet, making them a great addition to larger garden spaces or containers with ample room.
