Growing Information
The unrooted chicks root easily when placed on damp, well-drained potting media in a warm spot. Rooting typically occurs within a couple of weeks. They can also be planted directly in the garden with precautions to prevent displacement before rooting. Sempervivum prefers well-drained soil and minimal watering, allowing the soil to dry between waterings. Overcrowded clumps should be divided to maintain healthy growth. These plants are shipped as assorted unrooted rosettes during dormant fall-winter seasons.
