Growing Information

Opuntia Robusta thrives best in full sun to partial shade and requires well-draining cactus mix or sandy soil to prevent root rot. Watering should be infrequent, allowing the soil to dry completely between waterings to mimic its natural arid habitat. This cactus grows in a clumping, upright habit with large pads that develop quickly under suitable conditions. Its hardiness in zones 9 through 11 makes it adaptable to warm climates, making it a versatile addition to drought-resistant gardens.
