Pink Chrysanthemum Starter Plant Overview

This bare root starter plant features large pink chrysanthemums known for their early bloom period. Ideal for gardeners in USDA zones 5-9, this perennial produces vibrant flowers from mid-October through December. The plant thrives in full sun and adapts well to most soil types, making it a versatile addition to fall gardens.

Key Features

  • Variety: Early broom-type chrysanthemum with pure pink blooms
  • Bloom Time: Mid-October to December
  • Plant Type: Perennial
  • USDA Hardiness Zones: 5-9
  • Sunlight: Full sun preferred
  • Soil: Adaptable to most soils, well-drained preferred
  • Watering: Moderate

Growing Information

Start the bare root plant in a pot no larger than 6 inches and keep it shaded for the first two days. If the plant grows taller than 10 inches by July 1, cut it back to 4-6 inches to encourage healthy growth. Pinching the tips before August promotes branching and larger flowers. Disbudding to the terminal bud can also enhance flower size. This chrysanthemum is well-suited for fall gardens and provides colorful blooms during the cooler months.

Plant Condition Disclosure

Live plants may be shipped dormant, leafless, recently pruned, bare root, or partially defoliated depending on season, weather, and shipping requirements.

Natural variation in size, branching, foliage density, color, root structure, and overall appearance should be expected.

Important Note

You will receive a live starter plant (seedling/young plant). Listing photos show the plant at a mature stage for reference only. The actual plant size, shape, and appearance may vary and will be significantly smaller than the images shown.
