Munchkin Dwarf Oakleaf Hydrangea is a compact cultivar of the native oakleaf hydrangea, developed by the U.S. National Arboretum breeding program. It features long-lasting blooms and attractive oak-shaped foliage that provides seasonal interest throughout the year.
During bloom, upright clusters of white flowers appear above the foliage and gradually turn soft pink as they mature. The deep green leaves offer texture during the growing season and transition to rich mahogany red in autumn. Mature stems develop exfoliating bark that adds winter interest.
This dwarf hydrangea's compact size makes it suitable for foundation plantings, woodland gardens, borders, mixed shrub beds, and specimen plantings where year-round ornamental appeal is desired.
