The Mother of Thousands thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-draining cactus or succulent soil. Watering should be done sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings to prevent root rot. This upright succulent can grow up to 2 feet tall and is hardy in USDA zones 9 through 11.
