Growing Information

These unrooted cuttings should be planted in well-draining soil, preferably sandy or loamy, to ensure healthy growth. Water the plants by allowing the soil to dry out between waterings, as they are drought-tolerant once established. Best suited for USDA hardiness zones 10-11, Portulaca grandiflora can also be grown as an annual in cooler climates. Their spreading habit makes them excellent for ground cover or container gardening.
