The plant has dark green lance-shaped leaves and typically grows 4–6 feet tall with a spread of 24–36 inches. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and is resistant to deer and rabbits. Ironweed adds vibrant seasonal color and structure to naturalized gardens and perennial beds.
