Growing Information
The Eastern Red Cedar thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained sandy or loamy soil. Moderate watering is recommended, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. These trees grow upright with a conical shape and reach a mature height of 40 to 50 feet with a spread of 20 to 25 feet. They are hardy in USDA zones 2 through 9.
