Growing Information

Dawn Redwoods thrive in full sun and prefer moist, well-draining soil but can tolerate wet conditions and occasional flooding. They require moderate to high watering with consistent moisture, especially during establishment. These trees grow rapidly and can reach mature heights of 50 to over 100 feet. Suitable for USDA zones 5 through 8, they are best planted in the ground rather than containers. For optimal growth, plant in a spacious location with access to moisture and mulch around the base to retain soil moisture.
