Growing Information

Austree Hybrid Willows thrive in full sun but can tolerate partial shade. They prefer moist, well-draining soil and require high watering during establishment to keep the soil consistently moist. These trees can reach mature heights of 40–50+ feet and are best planted in the ground rather than containers. Suitable for USDA zones 4 through 10, they are hardy and adaptable to various environments.

For optimal privacy hedges, space the trees 5–6 feet apart. Regular watering during the first growing season is essential, and fertilizer should be avoided until the plants are well established. Note that plants may ship dormant during extreme temperatures and arrive bare root without soil or pots.
