Growing Information

The Austree Hybrid Willow (Salix matsudana × Salix alba) is a deciduous tree known for its rapid growth and upright form. It thrives in USDA hardiness zones 4 through 9. Plant the cuttings in moist, well-draining soil with full to partial sun exposure. Moderate watering is essential to keep the soil moist during rooting. With proper care, these cuttings root quickly and grow into tall, dense trees reaching 20 to 40 feet in height. Their dense foliage makes them excellent for privacy and windbreaks.
